I’m sad to announce that Kirkbyite Victor Vijiarangam from the 1953-1955 Kirkby batch passed away this morning at 11-15 at the University Hospital.

He was admitted to the hospital with lung infection on 31 March 2014. His condition did not improve and subsequently he started to deteriorate. Three days ago, he turned for the worse and the doctors did not hold out any hope for his recovery.

After his wife, Sakuntella (53-55), passed away on 10-8-2013, Victor was never the same. He became withdrawn and listless. Her passing had greatly affected him.  After eight months and one day he breathed his last.

Victor and Sakuntella met in Kirkby and later got married. They have two sons, two daughters and four grandchildren.

The wake will be held tonight and tomorrow night at 8.00 pm at his residence:

6  Jalan Setiarasa, Bukit Damansara,  50490 Kuala Lumpur.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, 13-4-2014, at 1.30 pm at St Mary Church, Jalan Raja Kuala Lumpur and thereafter to the Cheras Crematorium.

The Obituary will appear in tomorrow’s Star.

For further details, you may speak to his daughter Annette:012-2088 646
