Tan Sri Dr Yahaya Ibrahim, the President of Kirkby Alumni extended his gratitude to all that had given their support to make this Kirkby Grand Reunion a great success and had met all objectives set to accomplish (as mentioned in the Golden 50th Anniversary Book, 2001):

1) the launching of a definitive book on Kirkby College "Kirkby College - A Heritage"

2) the pictorial exhibition of Kirkby pictures from Kirkby Gallery in UPSI Education Museum

3) the official recognition certificate given to every Kirkbyites from the Ministry of Education

4) more outstanding Kirkby-trained teachers will be awarded Tokoh Guru Kebangsaan

5) the recognition that Kirkby College as the first English medium Teacher College by Malaysia Book of Records

6) the proposal to create of a post service scheme for ex-teachers (announcement in May 2009) in critical subjects such as English, Maths and Science

7) the proposal to set up of a National Education Museum where Kirkby story will have a place in the Malaysian education history

8) the proposal to create a Kirkby Award to best graduates at local universities
